I can't help you with your specific objective here, but I can sense, and I appreciate your attempts to find middle ways to unite fractures of perspective and politics. I think this is possible, and we can all try to help in our own way.
Thanks, Jed. Perhaps the unity will come with a shift in consciousness. Meditation is becoming more mainstream, so this may pave the way. We'll see. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.
I'm not sure about how to do that on all the platforms you mentioned. On Instagram, you can include original audio on a reel and upload it to Instagram. I'm pretty sure that doing this allows others to access it and use it, but I don't know all the ins and outs of that. Here's a link if you'd like to investigate further: https://help.instagram.com/329208821595430?helpref=faq_content Instagram audio for reels FAQ
Off topic, I also wanted to say thank you so much for your kind words about my crochet skull pattern, and for restacking my post and subscribing to my newsletter. I really appreciate it!
ok, I think I fixed the broken html. YAY! Edited again to add: apparently, your instagram account has to be public in order to distribute original audio that way.
Hi Helen. I do this kind of thing all the time so DM me if you still need help and I shall point you in the right direction. Do you have any actual video? I use Kapwing to edit my videos. It is pretty easy to use. There are also free tools that will create clips for you.
Colin, thank you so much. For some intuitive reason, if there is such a thing, I have resisted creating my own video of this song, although I have an MFA in Film/Video Production and am somewhat familiar with the process. I haven't turned on the DM feature in my 'stack yet. I will be looking into Kapwing. Thanks for the tip. I posted this song here now because the current divisiveness in America has forced me to do something. We can do so much better than this relentless squabbling. Bickering is so tiresome.
Yes, we all have subconscious self limiting beliefs. For example, I'm not good enough or I'm not capable. Most of the time, you will not be aware of them because they are subconscious thoughts. But they create the resistance to you putting yourself out there. There is also fear of what people will say and how you will be perceived. And of course, fear of success sometimes. It is different for everyone.
But the creative tension builds up until you either do something or give up. Luckily for us, you decided to do something thanks to the divisiveness in America being a strong driving force for you. What were your thoughts and feelings after doing the video?
There is an energy there that you can tap into in order to create more videos.
Thanks KC. I appreciate your taking the time to comment. This song seems to have a life of its own. I have to remember to give it a little nudge occasionally.
Thanks for clarifying the versions mentioned. I realize it's unusual to have two fully produced versions of an unknown song, but events just moved in that direction. During the recording of Barry's version, I watched, listened and learned as Steve Madaio produced the track. He was masterful. A couple of years later with Tony's version, I co-produced with Tony and had a ton of help from Tom Weir, the owner and head engineer at Studio City Sound. Tom contacted Tim Pierce and I was extremely lucky to have Tim's guitar on Tony's version.

I don't have any answers to your questions, but wish you luck in achieving the goals you have set for your song.

Miss Helen:
It is so refreshing to see a song that unites people in patriotism!
