Wow - beautiful song Helen, Michael, Tony! Great guitar work and vocal sounds to me a bit like Roy Orbison and someone else I can't quite ID. Very well done!

Thanks so much James. I’m finally letting others hear it. Glad you liked it. Tony is so versatile and talented. He did the first writer’s demo in 1994 and then performed it for a 9/11 fundraiser in November 2001. He co-produced this version with me many years later.

Thank you K.C. I’m very happy to finally show this collective work. Creating and producing a song is the work of many people. It has been in hiding too long. Your comment is encouraging and appreciated.

Beautiful Helen. It's uplifting to know that some still care about God, family, country.

Thank you Becky. The pledge embedded in the lyrics is probably the most important idea in the song. Glad you picked up on it.

This is lovely for sure. I’ve noticed for thirty years now that most music is uninspired with no lyrics

Or melody you want to hear twice?

This one is worth repeating ! Love it

Prosody in songwriting is when the lyrics and melody work together seamlessly. After I handed the lyrics to Michael, the composer, he created a rare original melody, one that can be easily hummed and works well with the lyrics. I was and am grateful for his contribution. Thanks for noticing. And I agree, the lack of melody in recent songwriting has left me wondering... why? There are actually interesting lyrics all around, but melodies, not so much.
